Environmental initiatives

  • First Comprehensive Environment Services provider in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

  • Providing services transparently, ethically and in a systematic manner that has "0" impact on the environment.

  • Capacity to process all types of Medical Wastes from any health facility Public or Private including SFDA.

  • Infrastructure and Technology to process all kinds of pharmaceutical wastes in bulk quantities.

  • Capability to neutralize and dispose chemical wastes in a safe manner which causes no harm to the environment.

  • Deploying advanced technology to track the wastes from generator to destruction and creating a transparent and efficient system to manage waste.

EPCO Laboratory

Our own Environmental Laboratory provides a multi-disciplinary service to the industry for the investigation and resolution of environmental issues. Experienced laboratory and field investigation teams can investigate the fate and effects of products and wastes in air, water and soil environments. Our laboratory has developed a wide range of high quality testing and monitoring services and Mechanisms to support our customers needs.

The support to our customers includes laboratory testings of products, intermediates and effluents to ensure regulatory compliance. Guidance and advice is provided on environmental issues related to air, land and groundwater contamination. The Laboratory actively participates in collaborative Research & Development Programs, working jointly with other industrial, academic and regulatory organizations. Some programmers will investigate the use of Direct Toxicity Assessment to control effluent discharges to the environment.

EPCO Laboratory can provide a wide range of environmental services which was achieved through highly trained, skilled experts working together in multi-disciplinary teams. A focused project management system providing contact points to ensure that clients can obtain the high quality services required to deliver projects on time and to specification.

Laboratory Services

EPCO Transports, Stores, treats and disposes Medical and Industrial hazardous wastes in specialized locations kingdom wide.

  • Organic Testing : EPCO Env. Lab Traces Organics and Industrial chemicals Divisions specialize in a variety of organic chemical analyses. The core of environmental monitoring are reclamation projects and chemical audits - including the recovery of contaminated sites, as well as the characterization and inventory of hazardous waste (including PCBs, PAHs, target GC/MS extractable and VOCs).

  • Organic Testing :EPCO Env. Lab Inorganic Division incorporates the latest technological advances in both sample preparation and instrumentation. State-of-the-art instrumentation includes ICP/MS spectrometers for trace metals as well as optical ICP spectroscopy in all laboratories. EPCO Environmental Lab and analysts are fully conversant with the scientific parameters and regulations surrounding water, soil, and waste analysis, to meet the guidelines of local and international standards.

  • Environmental Analysis : EPCO  Environmental Lab is a fully accredited analytical laboratory for both organic and inorganic, offering testing services in environmental soils analysis, industrial hygiene analysis, hazardous waste assessment, microbiological analysis, tissue, compost/manure, and fertilizer analysis and field rental services.

  • Soil Analysis : Soils are tested to assess characteristics to gauge the extent of any contamination, in order to meet disposal or remediation criteria. Most human activity on the land surface (including energy exploration, forestry, agriculture, mining and recreation) results in a need for some kind of soil testing.

  • Soil Classification: EPCO Env. Lab can perform organic matter content, carbon: nitrogen (C:N) ratio, Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) and exchangeable ions are parameters used in classifying soils into the pedagogical order and group to which they belong Soil Acidity or Alkalinity.

  • Water Analysis : Water is usually tested in a laboratory for two basic reasons, to determine its suitability for a particular use, or to assess the level of contamination. EPCO Env Lab has a number of tests specifically designed to assess water for human consumption, irrigation, aquaculture or other industrial uses. Contamination in water can be determined in industrial or domestic effluents to determine treatment requirements, in groundwater or in surface water.

  • Waste Water Analysis : Wastewater from various sources, including treatment plants, agricultural, ground and surface waters are tested for heavy metals, hydrocarbons, microbial contamination and treatment efficiency. Soil, sediment and sewage sludge is assessed for microbial characterization.

  • Solid and Hazardous Waste Analysis : EPCO Env Lab can perform a solid and hazardous waste analysis for various organic and inorganic elements generated from various industries, particularly from petroleum and petrochemical plants, hazardous wastes are tested for heavy metals and hydrocarbons contamination and treat ability assessment studies.
